hardback, thick 4to, bound in period calf with boards ruled blind, spine largely perished but with quarter section remaining at bottom right and further pieces retained for use in repair. Sewing remains intact and all leaves are present, signature of previous owner partly covered on front blank together with a brief inscription gifting the volume to George Clement Davies, from his father-in-law William Gilbert Mayfield. A single small marginal worm hole at bottom left from front blanks to pp113 & not affecting text. Two pages of the Table torn at gutter & thus likely at binding but without loss.
